An Ojibwe from Lac Seul First Nation in northwestern Ontario, Martha is an Ottawa based journalist, currently completing her Masters of Journalism at Carleton University.
She entered journalism with a position in News & Current Affairs at the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (aptn). Starting with a national public affairs program ‘Contact’, she later moved to aptn National News.
Her research interests include Indigenous and women’s issues, media representation, human rights and education.
